Seeing Horses helps you to see what your horse is showing you, learning to carefully observe and thoughtfully interpret both the big picture and the subtle details.

Horses have habits, behaviours and physical characteristics that develop over time, their body and mind shaped by the life they've lived.

What if you could look out your window, see your horse, and instantly have a good feel for where they're at?

One glance speaks volumes - as they say, a picture paints a thousand words. Imagine how much you could add with careful observation!

Everything from your horse's posture, the shape of their hooves, their head carriage, their conformation, muscling and movement to their behaviour and expression contributes to their story.

Putting all of that together is like solving a jigsaw. Every piece adds to the picture and is part of the way your horse communicates with you.

I've listened to, and learned from, thousands of horses, one at a time.

Each horse has taught me more about how domesticated and ridden life affects them, seeing the cumulative effects of their environment, nutrition, training and tack on their bodies and behaviour.

I learned to notice more and more subtle changes and issues, though often, I'd be called out when that stage had long passed. Small problems that aren't seen don't always stay small, and as they grow they're harder to untangle. Both you AND your horse win when you know what to look for early.

After almost 20 years of finding the same problems over and again, it felt like as a group of horse owners we weren't collectively getting very far.

In veterinary practice, I can only help one horse at a time. Seeing Horses is a way to share my knowledge more widely, to help more horses. I'm taking everything I've learned from two decades in practice and translating it into information you can use.
